Our VPA 6th grade Art Club has officially left their mark at VPA. Under the direction of our visual art teacher, Courtney Shumock, the 6th grade Art Club designed and painted the mural during their weekly art class and any other “free” time during the day. The club studied the meaning of murals and worked together as a team to create artwork that the entire campus can enjoy each day. The students chose to paint foods that mirror the colors of a rainbow and features the message “Feed your creativity.” Evan Smallwood, 6th grade Art Club member, commented that, “We did a drawing that will last a long time and I’m proud of it.”
