Just a reminder for our families with virtual students in the Lakeshore and the Dollhouses areas. Meals will begin being distributed today for you. Each student will be provided 5 prepackaged breakfast and lunches. If you plan on picking meals up, please be at one of the locations listed at the time listed. Buses will stop if someone is waiting. Parents will be allowed to pick up student’s meals but they must have the student’s MSD ID and the student must be listed on the virtual student list in order to receive the meals. Today, Marion School District received notification of three students that have tested positive for COVID-19. Close contacts of the positive cases have been notified and are following quarantine guidelines set forth by the Arkansas Department of Health.
For the privacy of all students and staff, Marion School District will not be sharing any personal information publicly.
We remain firmly committed to providing a safe environment and will follow the guidance provided by the Arkansas Department of Health, CDC, and the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education.

1 staff member

This evening an additional staff member and student have been identified as positive Cases Within the 8/9th grade building.
In an abundance of caution we will be closing the 8/9th building to all students for the remainder of the week.
All staff members are expected to report at their usual time.

Today, Marion School District received notification of two students that have tested positive for COVID-19. In case number one, we were notified,today, of a positive case that occurred on October 1. Due to the length of time between the positive test and the school district being notified, the majority of the quarantine time has expired. Close contacts to this particular case have been notified and are following quarantine guidelines set forth by the Arkansas Department of Health. The second case involves one of our student-athletes on the MJHS football team. Again, all close contacts have been notified and are following quarantine guidelines.
