UAMS-HOSA Partnership present, “A Day in the Life” program today, it’s the first of its kind within a single high school, 65 students attended, 14 local medical professionals.   Thank you newspaper and Sarah Parker for pictures.

RED RIBBON WEEK happens annually across the nation. The Program & the powerful video CHASING THE DRAGON was so successful in raising awareness of the Opioid Epidemic Wednesday, we even had an encore the next day!

Officer Tara Simms of the MPD was integral to the planning of this informative program. Detective Lieutenant Freddy Williams discussed the dangers of Opioids. SPECIAL THANKS: Detective: Princess Youngblood, MPD, Detective: Paul Turney, Sergeant: Steve Johnson, MPD, Chief: Gary Kelly MPD, and Assistant Chief: Dennis Burns, MPD.

Introducing the Marion School District

School Based Health Clinic!!

The hours are 7:30-3:30.  They will be closing for lunch daily for 30 minutes.  The clinic is open for all faculty and staff throughout our district.  Students will be referred by the district nurses.  They are staffed with a nurse practitioner, a nurse to assist her, and a front desk clerk.  There will be a full time mental health worker in the coming weeks and a part time social worker as well.
