Happy School Librarian Appreciation Day, Mrs. Heigle!

Today we want to take a moment to truly thank someone who makes a difference in our school every single day. Mrs. Heigle, you do so much more than organize books, you create a space where students feel welcome, supported, and inspired to learn. Whether you're helping someone find the perfect story, encouraging a new reader, or simply greeting everyone with a smile, you make our library a special place for all of us.

April is also School Library Month, which makes it the perfect time to recognize how important our library is to our school community. Because of you, the library is not just a room full of books, it’s a place where curiosity grows, imaginations come alive, and students discover new passions.

Thank you, Mrs. Heigle, for your kindness, your patience, and the heart you put into everything you do. Our school is better because of you, and we are so grateful for the impact you have on our students every day.

Join Us for Our Black History Program!

You are warmly invited to attend our Black History Program as we celebrate the rich history, culture, and achievements of African Americans. This special event will highlight the importance of Black history and the many contributions that have shaped our communities and our nation.

Our students have been working hard to prepare an engaging and meaningful program that will educate, inspire, and honor the legacy of those who paved the way for future generations. Through presentations, performances, and shared knowledge, we will reflect on the past while encouraging our youth to continue building a brighter future.

Collaboration in action!

Our library partnered with the Social Studies department to create a space where students could research, discuss, and learn together. From exploring historical topics to sharing ideas at their tables, the library was buzzing with curiosity and teamwork.

It’s amazing to see students using library resources while collaborating with their classmates and teachers. Learning truly comes alive when we work together!

Last week, we hosted our 7GA Parent Information Night for future 7th grade students and families. Guests had the opportunity to learn more about life at 7GA. Topics included our schedule, courses, expectations, and opportunities for students, along with time for questions and connecting with staff. Families enjoyed touring the school, and our 7GA Ambassadors did a fantastic job greeting visitors and guiding them throughout the evening. If you have any additional questions or were unable to attend, please contact our school counselor, Mrs. Jefferson, at jjefferson@msd3.org. We are excited to welcome this group to 7GA and look forward to a great year ahead! #7GAGrowTogether
