P.O.W. Program School-Based Business
The P.O.W. students at Marion High School are excited about their school-based business,
POW 4 PAWS.
First the students collected old t-shirts from faculty and staff members. They developed a business plan
as a class. Students were assigned various jobs. The shirts were cut and braided using the scoubidou method. Blending the various colors of the t-shirts, the students produced a vibrant, durable chew toy
for dogs.
The students are taking orders for these chew toys now. You may also donate any old t-shirt to help
continue their new an initiative business.
If you would like to donate any t-shirt or purchase a chew toy, please contact Tammi Jenkins at Marion
High. (tjenkins@msd3.org) or Shelby Langley (slangley@msd3.org).
