Perkins Survey-Please take a moment to participate
Marion Patriot Community:
Marion School District has been working with other districts in our co-op area in efforts to create a survey to help us as we plan our Perkins activities going forward. Perkins federal funds help us maintain our career and technical classes that are offered at MHS and MJHS. Please take a minute to fill out the attached survey.
Your input will help MSD create and focus our efforts towards offering desired classes to help our students as they enter college, technical education, the military and/or the workplace after graduation.

Starting Monday, April 6th, the delivery route has some changes. Please see the picture posted. Breakfast & Lunch will be handed out at the same time at the following up-dated locations and times. We will do our best to offer different options each day. In an effort to ensure that we have plenty of meals available, we would ask that you please try to arrive at the stop as close to possible as when the bus arrives. This will allow us time to have additional meals delivered to certain locations if we should run low. Thank you for your continued support in making this effort possible. All meals are available for kids 18 and under.
Patriot Parents:
As of 5pm today, Friday, April 3rd, MSD will no longer accept requests for paper packets for days 1-10. All requests placed by 5pm will be honored. Next week we will be sending out information about the collection of packets for days 1-10 and our transition to Edmentum online offerings moving forward.

MSD Parents and Students, while school is closed due to COVID-19, the K-6 GT teachers are coming together to share with you GT enrichment to stretch your creativity and critical thinking! Many of these activities will be fun to do with the entire family! As you complete the activities, feel free to post pictures of your work, experiments, or creations!

Want to know what a hero looks like? Here are many who’ve been on our buses and delivered meals to our kids in the community. Thank you doesn’t seem adequate. You are appreciated so very much.
Thank you to everyone that helped Child Nutrition this week to deliver nutritional meals to our kids. You are greatly appreciated beyond words. You are our heroes.
By now many of you have learned that this afternoon the Governor announced the extension of school closings in Arkansas through Friday, April 17. This extension brings with it a long list of questions that we hope to be providing answers for as further direction comes from the Governor and his staff.
What we do know-
1) Following Spring Break our buildings will be open on an abbreviated schedule for our faculty and staff.
2) We will be distributing the second 5 days of AMI by the end of the day tomorrow- which provides for March 30- April 3.
3) A schedule for instruction for April 6 forward will be developed and distributed as further direction is provided by the State.
4) We plan to continue our feeding program weekdays, including Spring Break, from now until school resumes. A revised distribution plan will begin on Monday, March 23, and will be shared tomorrow.
