The Marion tennis teams are off to a fast start to the 2025 campaign.

The Patriots won all 11 matches last week in their season-opener against Wynne at the Marion tennis courts.

MHS took its act on the road the next night to open 5A East play against Nettleton and Paragould as the girls again finished unbeaten, losing only four games total.

Against Wynne, Marion senior performer Aubrie Weaver won 6-4, while Ella White, Alayla Peoples, and Kaden Foret all logged 6-0 singles victories. Chesleigh Gatgens earned a 6-2 victory.

In doubles action, Lily Holloway and Foret, Chloe Griggs and Gatgens, and Preslee Graham and Rachel Coe each recorded 6-0 wins, while Jaclyn Burch and Espy Riedl won 6-4, and Markaria Thomas and Rashi Patel were 6-2 winners.

Marion's boys also found success against Wynne as Theodore “Owen” White won 6-1, and Tyler Mann claimed a 6-3 conquest.

In the conference tri-match, Weaver (8-4) and White (8-0) earned singles wins against Nettleton, while Peeples won 8-0 against Paragould.

Marion's doubles also had a prosperous outing as Foret and Holloway and Thomas and Riedl each beat Nettleton 8-0, while Burch and Patel pounded Paragould 8-0, and Coe and Graham won 6-2.
