Due to the health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus, the Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day event has been developed into a virtual commemorative presentation. So, I am excited to share with you that the Governor and First Lady have recorded a message to go along with the PowerPoint presentation created to showcase the student photos that were submitted to our office. For students who did not submit a photo, names and schools are found at the end of the presentation. In addition, all students will receive a letter from the Governor’s office as well as a certificate signed by the Governor.

Every 10 years the U.S. Census Bureau counts the number of people living in the United States and U.S. territories. Starting this month, each home will receive information regarding how to complete the 2020 Census. Because funding is tied to census data, it is extremely important that every household complete the census to ensure schools and other entities receive accurate funding.
