Hats off to MHS school counselors for the new student orientation during Tuesday's RTI time. Students received information about MHS, and they were given the opportunity to express any concerns. They also received T-shirts and goodie bags as welcome gifts. Thank you ladies for extending a warm welcome to our new Patriots!

Ms. Jamie White's students enjoyed playing in teams in a competition to study vocabulary in Family and Consumer Sciences. They used Quizlet Live, which places students in random teams where they have to discuss terms and definitions with each team member in order to win! Teamwork makes the dream work!

We cannot stop our mouths about Mrs. Sudbury's ELA classes! They recently began studying Early American Literature and learning about Puritans. Today, she took a moment to step back in time today in order to introduce them to the novel The Crucible which they also began reading today.

Hooray for Friday! Because it's library day! Every Friday Ms. Sturghill does story time. Today's story was about birthdays and the feelings brought on by special days. Students explored why and how birthdays are celebrated along with making wise choices as we celebrate one another as well as ourselves. If you have a birthday this month, remember that you are special. Happy birthday!
