Today, MHS was presented with a donation from Fred Leonard of State Farm in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week. We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Leonard for supporting our educators.

MHS is proud to announce that Emanuel Key joined the Navy on May 5, 2025. He is shipping to Great Lakes, IL in July with the rank of Sonar Technician (STG). Sonar Technicians operate and maintain surface ship sonar systems, playing a crucial role in anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and other underwater task such as analyzing acoustic data, searching for and tracking surface and subsurface contacts, and operating underwater fire control systems. For his enlistment, Emanuel is receiving over 60+ college credits after completion of his STG technical school in conjunction with a $15,000 sign-on bonus. Congratulations!

Marion High School will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13. Those interested in donating can sign up with Ms. Patti Castle in her office. Students should bring a photo I.D., eat a big meal, and drink plenty of water! 16-year-olds will require a signed parental consent form.
