Marion Junior High attended the Model United Nations Conference at UCA on November 21-22. Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, and North Korea were proudly represented by 12 of our students. At conference, students greatly improved their global awareness and public speaking skills by discussing issues such as nuclear disarmament, global wealth inequality, and violence against humanitarian workers in war zones with other students from all across the state. They worked together to write and pass resolutions, mimicking the actual peacekeeping process the United Nations uses today. Great job, MJHS!

‘Tis the season of giving! MJHS Student Council helped stock the food pantry to help feed our community. We are thankful for the opportunity to help others. Happy Thanksgiving, Patriot Family!

The MJHS Beetlejuice Jr. cast had an amazing day! We took a trip to see White Station High School’s incredible production of Beetlejuice, and our students were blown away!
Even better—they got to participate in a talk-back session with the cast after the show. So many great questions, inspiration, and theatre magic shared.
Huge thank-you to White Station High School for welcoming us and showing our young performers what’s possible on stage!

Punctual and proud! These students were on time to every class and earned a free ticket to a home ball game. Way to go—stay committed and keep it up!

Have your DNA & eat it, too! 8th graders constructed their own edible DNA models in class after learning about the structure and functions of DNA. Next, they will use their models to add DNA mutations to different codons.
