
Business Applications is working hard on creating charts and graphs in Excel.




Mrs. West’s Family and Consumer Science classes took their final knife lab assessments by cooking soup recipes this week.
Reasoning, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, soft skills, kitchen math, reactive science, planning, and preparation are all layered within the broad concepts of cooking.
With an emphasis on executing multiple technical actions as a team, cooking labs at MJHS gives students the empirical-rational skills alongside the necessary science based curriculum for future employability.

FACS classes are having a cooking contest today. Coach Jackson participated as the official taste tester.


Mrs. L. Brown's students applied what they lhave earned to create a cereal that represents the important information about a specific element from the periodic table. These students had to create a cereal name , slogan and include other important facts.




8th grade students worked on next years schedules. Be sure and ask your 8th grade students what classes they are planning to take next year.




Science is taking advantage of the sunshine and they have moved their classrooms outdoors. 🌞☀️😎

The MJHS Family and Consumer Science classes spent some time this past week learning kitchen math, measurements and French! Students created their own Play-Doh, practiced knife cuts and safe commercial kitchen skills. Be sure to test their French by mentioning paysanne, brunoise, and julienne!
