🌊 MST 3rd Graders Dive Into Sea Levels! 🌊
This week, our 3rd graders wrapped up Module 1 in Literacy, which focused on “Over the Sea.” To bring their learning to life, they collaborated with the MST Library for a hands-on science connection about sea levels!
During the activity, each student mixed together different liquids to represent the layers of the sea, exploring how density affects how liquids stack. It was a fun, engaging way to make literacy and science come together—right here at MST Magnet! 💡⚙️📚

🐝🔬 STEM in Action!
Our elementary students had the incredible opportunity to observe a real bald-faced hornet nest up close in the STEM Lab!
They learned how hornets use natural resources to build these amazing structures—chewing wood fibers and mixing them with saliva to create a paper-like material. The nest grows layer by layer and houses multiple tiers of hexagonal combs where the queen lays eggs and young hornets are raised.
Experiences like this spark curiosity, connect students to the natural world, and show the beauty of science all around us. 🌎✨
