In Discovery class, K-6 students learned all about the solar eclipse through a variety of activities.

SPECIAL DELIVERY Fundraiser Popcorn & other items will be at MST ready for pick up on Tuesday, April 9th, between 3:30-5:30. (please do not block the student pick up lane) If you cannot make it on the 9th, you may pick up on Wednesday, April 10th, between 8:00-2:30 -We DO NOT have storage to keep items on campus any longer -Online orders will be shipped to the persons home. -Pick up in the gym entrance. DONUT miss school! Donut miss school is our challenge to see which homerooms have enough days of whole-class perfect attendance to fill up their donut miss school charts. The winners of the challenge are... Ms. Poole's kindergarten class and Ms. Franklin's 5th grade homeroom! These classes were the first to complete the challenge and got a treat on this fun snack day from the MST Donut Queen! All the classes are aiming for perfect attendance, who’s next?

MST is capturing milestones! Smith Artisan Photography will be here on Thursday, April 4th to capture promotion pictures for kindergarten and 6th grade students. Each student will bring home a form with a code. All kindergarten and 6th grade students will be photographed and then you may purchase desired pictures online after reviewing your proofs.

Spring has sprung! Smith Artisan Photography will be here on Wednesday, March 15th for individual spring pictures. Please check your students' MST binder for information on how to order. These pictures are pre-pay only.

Lucky Shamgrams Candy grams are on sale the mornings of 3/1-3/12 for 50 cents each. Parents may purchase in the office. They will be delivered to homerooms on on 3/15 to enjoy over spring break.

As we wrapped up Black History Month this week, here's a glimpse into some of how we celebrated throughout the month. Check out some photos from Mrs. Bouey's reading class as they learned about influential African Americans from the past and present on their interactive bulletin board.

Gifted and Talented Referrals: The MSD Gifted and Talented Department (TEAM: Talent, Enrichment and Acceleration in Marion) is currently accepting referrals for GT placement consideration for the 2024-25 school year. If you have any questions or are interested in referring your child for GT, please contact Leah Schmidt, MSD Gifted and Talented Coordinator, at lschmidt@msd3.org. Mrs. Schmidt will provide referral forms and testing information.

MST would like to give a big THANK YOU to the ladies of the Omega Nu Zeta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority for donating backpacks to our students. We appreciate them caring about the needs of our students.

Friday, March 1st, is Read Across America Day! MST will get comfortable while reading and celebrating all things books! All students may wear pajamas on Friday in celebration of Read Across America Day.

It's almost time for Sneaker Ball 2024! TICKETS will be available for purchase at Parent-Teacher conference!! Get yours by Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Tickets will not be available at the door.
