The month of April is recognized nationwide as the Month
of the Military Child. Throughout this month, educators are
encouraged to sponsor and promote activities in their
schools and districts to recognize, celebrate, and honor the
children of military families for their own sacrifices because
of their parents' military service. The Arkansas Council for
Military Children has designated April 15, 2025 as Purple
Up! for Military Kids Day. Faculty, staff, and students are
encouraged to wear purple clothing on that day.

It was a great day at VPA! We celebrated the last day before spring break with a Krewe Parade and a fun game of Hunt the Crossley!!

VPA Parents: Thank you to those who joined us for our Black History Program. Our performers were outstanding, and we are so appreciative to our staff for the passion and energy they put into preparing them for today. Everything was wonderful!
Reminders:
- Monday 3/3 we will wear pajamas for Read Across America Day.
- Monday 3/3 - Thursday 3/6 our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders will be completing ATLAS interim assessments. Please encourage them to do their best. We are excited to see their growth.
- Wednesday 3/5 - our Book Fair begins.
