Today is National Wear Red Day. It is a day to recognize and bring awareness to women's heart disease. MST wore red for our very own and very special Trina Walls, MST 6th grade teacher. We love you, Ms. Walls!

Our 100th day was a whole vibe! We celebrated 100 days of growing and learning... the MST way!

It's fundraiser time!
-Support MST and your favorite students
-Proceeds go to theme-related events
-Purchase from any K-3 MST student.
Help us create amazing events and memories for our MST students! You might even help them win some prizes!

Tomorrow is the 100th day of school which also means the a-maze-ing cereal domino effect!
MST is still collecting unopened cereal boxes for a philanthropic project. Tomorrow, every box collected will be arranged into one large domino maze throughout the building and students will get to watch the dominos topple! All cereal boxes must be turned in by 9 am tomorrow morning.
The grade level that collects the most cereal boxes will win a pizza party! Check out the picture below to see the current tally.

Happy Groundhog Day! To celebrate, our kindergarten students investigated how shadows are affected by the placement of light using their very own made groundhog puppets and a flashlight!

Mark your calendars 👟

Bring in those boxes 🤗

Sometimes you have to roll those sleeves up and get your hands a little messy when you're learning! In Mrs. Jones's class, they pulled out the shaving cream to reviewed phonetic skill 1 & 2.

in Miss Mattox's class, students worked hard to type essays about the figurative and literal great heart. Those smiles were real because this meant they had completed a whole unit of learning!

MST students participated in the Hour of Code during Discovery class. Students were able to choose from a variety of activities on Code.org to advance their coding skills.
The Hour of Code is a global movement by Computer Science Education Week and Code.org. This even reaches tens of millions of students in over 180 countries.

Ms. Dillahunty, GT teacher and published author, traveled just down the hall to visit with some of our 5th graders. During her visit, she shared her expertise on essay writing.

As a culminating event to end Module 1 of Wit and Wisdom, 3rd grade students, along with the guidance of HOSA students from Marion High School, participated in a squid dissection. 🦑🧑🔬
3rd grade teachers would like to give a special thanks to the parents that volunteered, and the HOSA students from MHS. 💙❤️

Mark your calendar for this Friday's SN❄️W MUCH FUN VIP Party! ⛄️❄️⛄️

It was all aboard the MST Polar Express last night! Several of our staff worked tirelessly to make the vision come to life and our MST students shone bright in Marion's Christmas parade.
