Check out these 4th-grade students who have been shining bright with learning! Students have been learning all about different forms of energy and circuits in Ms. Ezekiel's class. For a STEM day event, students made closed circuits to create their own flashlights.

Fourth grade students are learning about the 5 forms of energy. M.E.L.T.S. will help you remember those five forms are mechanical, electrical, light, thermal and sound. Students worked on building circuits in science class. These circuits used all 5 forms of energy. Mechanical energy was displayed in the working fan. Electrical energy was displayed in electrons moving along the closed path. Light energy was produced when the circuit was closed. Sound energy was heard through the speaker. Click the link below to see more pictures and even some videos of students learning and exploring together! https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1w-V6_wrd-a24UX3h5J7NzToK42P47IoO?usp=sharing

4th grade students have been studying a book about the heart called "The Circulatory Story" in their reading class. They took what they learned from reading the book and put it into practice in science class. During their science class, students got the opportunity to see a dissection of an actual pig heart. This was also a community effort as 4th grade parents and local nurses volunteered to help with the dissections.
