2-22-22
MST is going to celebrate this special date with a dress up and day! Ties, tutus, tiaras, or tennis shoes. (There might even be a little dancing in store.) Let's have some fun!

This week has been crammed full of excitement from Valentine's Day fun to coin drives and dress up days. Check out these photos for a few snapshots of some of the fun!

MST LOVES MRS. ARCHIBALD
This week has been National School Counseling Week. It's been a great week reflecting and celebrating on the many ways Mrs. Archibald makes an impact in the lives of our students. This afternoon, MST students presented cards, posters, and flyers to show just a small token of appreciation for all that she does. Students paraded their art through the halls for Mrs. Archibald this afternoon to the tune of some groovy music and lots of dance moves. Mrs. Archibald, we are so thankful for all that you do to make the lives of our students better. Happy National School Counseling Week!

PATRIOT PARTNER
Cliff's Auto and Tractor supplied wipes and calendars to our campus. We are so appreciative of your donation! MST is always grateful for all of our patriot partners who truly make a difference for our students and staff.

THE MST WAY, THROUGH CREATIVE DISPLAY
Ms. Doyle, MST Art Teacher, worked with 6th grade students to make a visual representations of our MST Way. The MST Way outlines many ways that our students can make smart choices, show respect, and take responsibility during their school day and beyond. The display of artwork has been a beautiful and encouraging way for the 6th grade students to share good choices with many of the other students in the building.

February 7-11, 2022 is National School Counseling Week. Join MST in celebrating our very own school counselor, Mrs. Lydia Archibald.
School counselors contribute to the continuum of supports that our students need to achieve. School counselors help students pursue their academic goals as well as their social and emotional development. They also collaborate with our families to foster their children’s educational, personal, and social growth.
Thank you, Mrs. Archibald, for working hard to make our students feel safe and valued so that they may reach their full potential.

Roger Maloy has been named the most recent Wizard of the Week in Ms. Barnes's class. Way to go!

2ND 9 WEEKS AWARDS
We were finally able to celebrate some of the many amazing achievements our students made during their 2nd 9 weeks. Awards ranged all the way from growth in testing scores, to making strides in building positive relationships, showing respect, honor roll and so much more. We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see what you do next. Also, we want to say thank you to the student ambassadors who stepped up to greet guests, run tables, and be great helpers.

Shoutout to all the students who helped with announcements this week!

WINTER OLYMPICS CREATIONS
2nd and 3rd graders are ready for the Winter Olympics! To prepare, students built snowboarders, bobsledders, and skiers during their library class. Students got to put their hand-crafted olympians to the test by racing them down ramps. Click the link below to see a video of some of their creations in action.
