"This is our best shot" -- The Marion School District is planning a pair of community vaccination clinics this summer, with the hope of getting as many people as possible vaccinated against Covid-19 before the start of the 2021-22 school year.
The clinics will be open to anyone in the community age 12 and up. The first clinic will be held from 1-6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30. The second clinic will be from 1-6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14. Both events will be held at the Patriot Arena, located at 801 Carter Drive. The vaccinations, which will utilize the Pfizer vaccine, are completely free. Parents must accompany anyone under age 18.
Several incentives will be available. All participants will be eligible to enter a door prize and win $100 or $50 gift cards at both events. Each family who attends will be given a bag of groceries, and all children 18 and under will receive three days' worth of meals. Additionally, participants 18 and up will receive $20 scratch-off lottery tickets, and participants 12 and up will receive gift cards from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

One of the final units of the year for MST 6th-graders was about the different human body systems. Students made models of the different systems, incorporating technology in their creations.

These amazing 6th graders stuck it out to their final day at MST. They all got to lead the pledge! Thank you, 6th graders, for being absolutely amazing! We can’t wait to see where you go from here.

Today, celebrated the end of school and the start of summer. We said farewell to Mr Cooley and Mrs Whittington and several others. Thank you for all you have invested into our students and staff. MST will miss you all!!

MST STEM Scholarship
MST Librarian, Misty Burt, always designates a charity or
philanthropy to corollate with our Book Fair themes
and our Magnet theme "Creating the Future".
Our campus does coin drives and other events to raise
money for the chosen cause. MST students, faculty
and staff never disappoint when it comes to their
generosity and care for others. This year Ms. Burt chose
to do a STEM scholarship for a lucky MHS student.
Campus efforts collected $1800.00, so it was decided to
honor 3 graduates, $600 each, who plan to
further their education in a STEM related field.
Congratulations to:
Sarah Elizabeth Hood-University of Memphis, Biomedical Engineering
Brett Allen McCain-Christian Brothers University, Biology
and Lillian Grace Kemp-University of Arkansas, Pre-Med.
MST is so excited to be a part of your journey!

Victoria, Jaida, Dylan and Kealan were a tremendous help last week. They assisted the office by taking up money for snow cones. They even helped lead the pledge. We appreciate you!

Take a look at some of the fabulous voices and faces who helped with morning announcements last week! Thank you, Jaden, RJ, Elijah, Alice, Elijah, and Isabella for using your talents here at MST.

PHOTO TIME!!!
From May 21st through May 23rd there will be a photo booth with props set out in front of MST. These will be available for all students and families to capture a sweet memory from the 20-21 school year. Make sure after your photo shoot is finished to put everything back in its place for the next student and family to use. This event is happily brought to you by MST's Community In Action group. Thank you, CIA!

We want to give a huge shout out to the students who used their amazing talents to help lead our morning announcements this week. Great job Lyndzie, Avery, Davia, Avery, Makinley, Gustavo, Abigail, Marcus, Maddox and Addison!

Thank you! THANK YOU!!! Best week ever❤️

Attention parents of students who will be in band next year in 7th grade:
On Monday, May 10, and Tuesday, May 11, the Marion Band will host Amro Music Co. from Memphis at the Marion Performing Arts Center lobby from 2:30-7 p.m. Parents will need to make a deposit on an instrument one of these days. No appointment is needed; however, we are asking parents to come on the day in which your child's instrument is listed:
Monday, May 10: Flute, clarinet, saxophone
Tuesday, May 11: Trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, percussion
You may come on a day that is not assigned if needed. This is an inexpensive way to obtain a high-quality instrument that will ensure student success.
Students will not receive their instruments until school begins in July. We want to make sure they receive the correct instruction before we begin playing. The meeting is to secure your child's instrument prior to the new school year.
If there are any financial concerns or other questions, please reach out to Mr. Monty Hill at mhill@msd3.org. Thank you!

Attention MST 6th grade parents,
Any 6th grader that has not registered for classes next year needs to contact Lisa Lovely. Her email address is llovely@msd3.org and her number is 870-739-5173.

Some of our community superheroes showed up and showed out today to support out MST superheroes! Thank you so much to Jeff Tacker and Shake Shack, Angela Walker of One Step Arts and Elegant Events, Walmart Managers and Bakery, as well as our very own Community In Action Group. Our faculty and staff felt very appreciated today because of you.

Students in Ms. Lane’s kindergarten class and Mrs. High’s fourth grade homeroom joined Ms. Burt and Mrs. Banks on a Nature Walk around the Greenhouse! The fourth graders assisted the kindergartners in identifying flowers, leaves, and insects and were able to use their devices to capture and upload their finds! 🌸🍃🪰
